Our lab values: every batch tested and documented
Every batch of our Shilajit resin goes to an accredited food laboratory in Germany before it is sold and is tested for heavy metals, microbiology and fulvic acid. We publish the measured values as a batch datasheet carrying the batch number and the analysis date, so you can match it against the number on your jar. For the current batch HM-SH-25-BLY-1159 the analysis is dated 01.09.2025.
Almost every Shilajit page says "lab tested". What those pages rarely carry is the numbers. This page is where we write them down: what was measured in our current batch, where the figures come from, when they were taken, and how you can match them against the jar in your own kitchen.
What we have tested
Every batch goes to an accredited food laboratory in Germany before it is sold. Three groups of parameters are examined:
- Heavy metals: lead, cadmium, mercury and arsenic. The EU sets binding maximum levels for the first three in food supplements.
- Microbiology: salmonella, E. coli, yeasts and moulds. This is the hygiene evidence for a product that is consumed uncooked.
- Resin characteristics: fulvic acid and dry matter. These describe the composition, not the safety.
That order is deliberate. The values that decide whether a product is safe to sell are the heavy metals and the microbiology. Fulvic acid is the number the market shouts about most and the one that is hardest to compare.

How to read these tables
Four terms are enough to place any lab value:
- mg/kg means milligrams per kilogram of product. The reference is always the kilogram, never the daily portion of roughly 400 mg.
- "Not detectable" means the method did not find the substance at all.
- The less-than sign (<) marks a level below the limit of quantification of the method. The number behind it describes the limit of the method, not the actual content of the product.
- cfu/g stands for colony forming units per gram, the usual unit in microbiology.
This is also why we will never write "free from heavy metals". A laboratory can establish that an element is not detectable; it can never establish that exactly zero of it is present. How the figures compare against the limits is set out in detail under Shilajit and heavy metals.
A batch datasheet and a laboratory report are two different documents
This is the point where we have to be precise, because it is often blurred.
The laboratory report is the laboratory's document. It belongs to the laboratory, and its terms of sale do not permit us to publish it or to name the laboratory in order to promote our product. Clauses of that kind are standard among accredited testing bodies.
The batch datasheet is our document. It reproduces the results of that report: the same measured values, the same batch number, the same analysis date, plus the method used for fulvic acid and the note on the scope of the accreditation. It does not replace the report, but it makes every single figure in it publicly readable.

Matching your jar in three steps
- Look at the label on your jar and note the batch number.
- Open the batch datasheet and compare the number printed at the top.
- If both match, every value on the sheet refers to exactly the resin in your hand. If they do not match, send us a short message and you will get the document for your batch.
That comparison is the entire purpose of a batch number. A lab value that cannot be assigned to a batch is a number about some material, not about yours.
Why every batch is measured again
Shilajit is a natural product. Collection area, rock and purification all affect the composition, and they do so from batch to batch. A single analysis used as evidence for years therefore says little about the goods being sold today.
We have each batch tested again before it goes on sale and publish a separate datasheet for it. When a new batch is introduced, the batch number, the analysis date and the measured values on this page change with it.
What these values do not tell you
Lab values evidence purity and composition, nothing more. They say nothing about what the product does in the body, and we draw no such conclusions from them. In particular, a high fulvic acid percentage is not a quality mark in itself: without the measurement method, two percentages cannot even be compared. Frequently asked questions
What is in the batch datasheet?
The batch number, the analysis date, the measured levels of lead, cadmium, mercury and arsenic next to the EU maximum levels, the microbiology results, the fulvic acid value together with the method used, and the dry matter. It is a document issued by us that reproduces the results of the laboratory analysis for that batch.
Why do you not publish the laboratory report itself?
The laboratory we commission does not contractually allow its report to be published or its name to be used to promote a product. Such clauses are standard for accredited testing bodies. So we reproduce the measured values, the method, the analysis date and the batch number in full in our own batch datasheet instead.
How do I find the datasheet that belongs to my jar?
The label on your jar carries a batch number, for example HM-SH-25-BLY-1159. The same number appears at the top of the batch datasheet. If both match, the document and the product belong together. If they do not match, write to us and we will send you the document for your batch.
How often do you test?
Before every new batch goes on sale, not once for the product as a whole. Natural resin varies in composition, so a single analysis from last year says little about the material that is in the jar today.
Is the fulvic acid figure covered by the accreditation?
No. The heavy metal and microbiology analyses fall under the laboratory's accreditation; the fulvic acid determination was subcontracted and does not. We state that here and on the batch datasheet, because a number without that note promises more than it proves.
