Shilajit at dm and Rossmann: what the German drugstores offer
dm and Rossmann, Germany's two largest drugstore chains, currently sell Shilajit only as capsules containing Shilajit extract, not as resin (as of 31 October 2026). dm lists one single-ingredient product and one combination product, Rossmann two single-ingredient products. Whether any of them is good cannot be read from the product page alone: what matters is the extract amount per capsule, a batch number and published test values, which you can request from the manufacturer.
Contents
For many buyers in Germany the first stop for a food supplement is a drugstore: dm or Rossmann, with a branch in almost every town, no shipping and easy returns at the till. Searches such as "Shilajit kaufen dm" ("buy Shilajit at dm") are correspondingly common. This article shows what both chains actually stock, how those products differ from Shilajit resin and which questions to settle before buying. It is based on the product pages on dm.de and rossmann.de, retrieved on 31 October 2026. Ranges and prices change, so check them yourself before you buy.
What dm and Rossmann currently stock
Both chains sell Shilajit in capsule form only. Pure resin in a jar, the traditional form, is not listed in either online shop.
| Retailer | Product | Contents | Price | Ingredients per product page | Recommended intake |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| dm | Lebepur Shilajit capsules | 60 capsules, 37.2 g | EUR 7.95 | Shilajit extract, hydroxypropyl methylcellulose shell | 2 capsules a day |
| dm | serotalin Active Men T capsules | 60 capsules, 32 g (also 30 capsules) | EUR 28.95 (30 capsules: EUR 14.95) | Combination product, 23 % mumijo (Shilajit) extract | 2 capsules a day |
| Rossmann | marble Mumijo Shilajit capsules | 60 capsules, 43.3 g | EUR 6.99 | Mumijo Shilajit extract, HPMC shell, plant cellulose, MCT powder | 2 capsules a day |
| Rossmann | Lebepur Shilajit extract capsules | 60 capsules, 37.2 g | EUR 7.99 | Shilajit extract, hydroxypropyl methylcellulose shell | 2 capsules a day |
As of 31 October 2026, online prices. Rossmann states that store prices may differ, and dm shows on each product page which store has an item in stock.
The dm search also returns a combination product. In it, mumijo extract at 23 % is one of several ingredients, next to fenugreek, maca, ginkgo and tribulus extracts, L-citrulline and vitamins. If you are looking for Shilajit specifically, treat such products separately: they cannot be compared with a single-ingredient product, because Shilajit is only part of the formula. No health claim for Shilajit itself is authorised in the EU.
Extract capsules and resin: the difference
All the drugstore products contain Shilajit extract, a processed, dried and usually powdered concentrate. Resin is the purified raw material in its thick, paste-like form, portioned with a spoon and dissolved in warm water.
| Feature | Extract capsule | Resin in a jar |
|---|---|---|
| Form | Powder in a capsule shell | Thick, dark mass |
| Other ingredients | Capsule shell, sometimes fillers or flow agents | None, if declared as pure resin |
| Dosing | Fixed amount per capsule | Portioned yourself, for example with the measuring spoon |
| Taste | Neutral, sealed in the capsule | Earthy, smoky, bitter |
| "10:1" claim | Refers to the extraction process | Not usual |
| Comparability | Only with an mg figure per capsule | Via the weight of the daily portion |
According to marble, an extract ratio of 10:1 means that 10 kg of raw material yield 1 kg of extract. That figure describes the process, not the amount you take per day. For that you need the extract content in milligrams per capsule. The article Shilajit resin or capsules compares both forms in detail.
What the product pages tell you and what they do not
The dm and Rossmann product pages carry the mandatory details for a food supplement: name, ingredients, recommended intake, warnings and the manufacturer's address. That is more than some marketplace listings show.
Three details were missing from all four product pages on 31 October 2026:
- Extract amount per capsule in mg. Without it, you cannot tell how much Shilajit a daily portion contains.
- Batch-specific test values for lead, cadmium, mercury and arsenic, for which Regulation (EU) 2023/915 sets maximum levels in food supplements (there is no general maximum for arsenic).
- A microbiology result for the specific batch.
That does not mean these values do not exist. Retailer pages generally show only what the manufacturer feeds into the retailer's product database, and analyses rarely belong to it. The way to the figures is therefore the manufacturer, whose address has to be on every pack.
Is there a test winner at dm?
No. Anyone searching for "Shilajit Testsieger dm" (test winner) will not find one, because no testing institute has examined Shilajit yet. Neither Stiftung Warentest nor Öko-Test has published a report on it; details are in the article Shilajit and Stiftung Warentest.
The stars in a drugstore's online shop are customer reviews. They say something about satisfaction, delivery or taste, but nothing about heavy metal content or extract amount. A large number of reviews is no substitute for a laboratory analysis.
Checklist for buying at a drugstore
You can ask these questions of any Shilajit product, whether at a drugstore, a pharmacy or online:
- Is it a single-ingredient product or a combination with other ingredients?
- How many mg of Shilajit extract does one capsule contain, and how many the recommended daily portion?
- Which extract ratio is stated, and how is it defined?
- Is there a batch number on the pack?
- Are there individual values for lead, cadmium, mercury and arsenic for that batch?
- Is there a microbiology result for the batch?
- If a fulvic acid figure is given, is the measurement method stated?
- Is a complete manufacturer address in the EU given?
Points 4 to 7 are usually answered only by the manufacturer. A short email quoting the batch number from your pack is enough. A reply with concrete figures is a good sign; evasive wording such as "lab-tested" without values is not. More criteria are collected in the guide Buying Shilajit.
Price per day: comparing capsules and resin properly
At first glance drugstore capsules look cheap. With 60 capsules and 2 a day, a pack lasts 30 days, which at EUR 6.99 to 7.99 is roughly EUR 0.23 to 0.27 a day.
| Product | Pack price | Duration per recommended intake | Price per day |
|---|---|---|---|
| Drugstore capsules (examples above) | EUR 6.99 to 7.99 | 30 days | EUR 0.23 to 0.27 |
| HimalayaFIT Shilajit resin, 20 g | EUR 34.00 | 50 intake days at 400 mg | EUR 0.68 |
This comparison has a limit: it equates days, not amounts. As long as the extract amount per capsule is unknown, you do not know how much Shilajit you get for the daily price. With resin the amount follows from the weight of the portion, with capsules only from the mg figure. How Shilajit prices are made up in general is explained in What does Shilajit cost.
When the drugstore fits and when it does not
A drugstore is convenient if you want to try Shilajit in capsule form without fuss, would rather avoid the taste of resin and like to buy in person. Returns follow the retailer's usual process.
If you are looking for resin, or want to see a batch analysis before buying, you are more likely to find both at specialist sellers. Apply the same checklist there: a shop without a batch number and without values is no more verifiable than a drugstore shelf.
For comparison, our own details: we sell Shilajit resin in a 20 g jar for EUR 34.00, batch HM-SH-25-BLY-1159. Every batch is tested by a food laboratory in Germany accredited for heavy metals and microbiology; the fulvic acid figure is determined titrimetrically, measured in our batch. All values are in the batch datasheet and on the lab values page. The jar is in the shop, delivery times and costs are on the shipping page, and more articles are in the guide section.
Food supplements are not a substitute for a balanced and varied diet.
Frequently asked questions
Does dm sell Shilajit?
Yes. On 31 October 2026 a search for Shilajit on dm.de returns three results: the Shilajit capsules by Lebepur (60 capsules, EUR 7.95) and two pack sizes of the Active Men T capsules by serotalin, a combination product with 23 % mumijo extract alongside other plant extracts and vitamins. dm does not stock Shilajit resin. Whether a product is on the shelf in a given store is shown by the availability check on dm.de.
Does Rossmann sell Shilajit?
Yes. On 31 October 2026 rossmann.de lists two products: the Mumijo Shilajit capsules by marble (60 capsules, EUR 6.99, a 10:1 extract according to the manufacturer) and the Shilajit extract capsules by Lebepur (60 capsules, EUR 7.99). Both are extract capsules; Rossmann does not stock resin. Rossmann notes that store prices may differ from online prices.
Is the Shilajit from dm any good?
That cannot be judged from the product page, and the same is true of any product, not just at dm. The page lists ingredients and the recommended daily intake, but no extract amount in mg per capsule and no batch datasheet with values for lead, cadmium, mercury and arsenic. If you want to know, ask the manufacturer at the address printed on the pack for the analysis of your batch number.
Is Lebepur Shilajit good?
We cannot responsibly give a quality verdict on a single product, and no independent test exists. According to the product page, the capsules contain Shilajit extract and a hydroxypropyl methylcellulose shell, the recommended intake is 2 capsules a day and the manufacturer is Lebepur GmbH in Berlin. For everything else the checklist in this article applies: ask the manufacturer for the extract amount, extract ratio, batch number and heavy metal values.
Is there a test winner for Shilajit at dm?
No. Neither Stiftung Warentest nor Öko-Test, the two big German consumer testing bodies, has tested Shilajit so far, so there is no test winner at dm or anywhere else. Star ratings in the shop are customer opinions, not a laboratory analysis.
